SS Hampton, Sr. is a Choctaw from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He is a divorced grandfather, and a published photographer and photojournalist (and a budding painter). He is a veteran of Operations Noble Eagle and Iraqi Freedom. He has a fiction story in a an anthology forthcoming from Edge SF & Fantasy (Danse Macabre), and he has had stories included in anthologies from Melange Books (Hearts of Tomorrow; Christmas Collectibles 2010, and R.U.S.H.); Ravenous Romance (Back Door Lover), and Dark Opus Press (In Poe's Shadow). He has standalone short stories forthcoming from MUSA Publishing and Melange Books; his standalone stories have been published by MUSA Publishing, and have appeared in Penumbra Magazine, Horror Bound Magazine, Ruthie's Club, Lucrezia Magazine, and The Harrow, among others. As of December 2011, he technically became a homeless Iraq War veteran in Las Vegas, NV.
