Bill Rogers was born in the southern part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, and in a half century has managed to get as far as the northern part. On the way he picked up a good education in the decent small-town public schools and a couple of state universities, ending up with degrees in geology and geophysics. He works in environmental protection.
He wrote the first thing he can remember writing when he was in fourth grade and has been at it pretty much ever since. He has also been a lifelong fan of science fiction, fantasy, and (when he wants to read something a little less believable) history.
He lives with his housemate Lynn in a house owned by three cats.
